Lego Land Part I

Yesterday we got home from our AMAZING mini vacation to Lego Land. Because in just 2 days we shot about 500 pictures (HA HA - crazy, right?), I'm going to go easy on you (and me), and split this post into two parts. Trust me, you'll thank me later for this! Late Wednesday afternoon we arrived in Orlando, and it was super busy! The traffic was terrible, and we quickly realized just how close our hotel was to Downtown Disney. There were people getting in and out of the Disney buses, and walking everywhere, pushing strollers, etc. And after a just a few seconds of being around all the chaos, you begin to feel like a kid again, and the Disney magic was everywhere. If you're not careful, you can easily find yourself a bit overwhelmed. Now I have never been to Disney World, but if this is how it feels just touring this little sample, then I want to go Disney World tomorrow...pleeeease! It was a surprise to me how close we were to Downtown Disney, but Adam actually had it all planned. Lego Land is actually about 40 minutes away from where we were staying, and he wanted the kids to have the best time throughout the entire trip. I'm not going to talk so much about our hotel, because unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of it. But all I have to say is...wow, what a place! It was beautiful, fancy, and had the best view of Epcot. We watched the fireworks from our balcony and it was better than we expected. Here are some pictures of our first night in Orlando.

We didn't get seated until two hours later, but it was totally worth the wait.

We sat below it and every 24 minutes a meteor would hit and all of the dinosaurs would roar and stomp, the lights would go out, and fire would come out of every rock. They also had aquariums everywhere and their food was really good. Grown ups leave with headaches, but the kids have a blast!

We didn't leave the restaurant until 10:00 and people were still waiting in lines and waiting to be seated.

After dinner we walked to the Disney Store.

After shopping, we thought 10:30 was late enough for all of us. So we headed back to our hotel room.

Baseball season has begun for Will and he is enjoying every practice, and every game. This year we decided to sign him up for Little League baseball instead of Upward and I have to admit, it's little more involved than what he's been used to. He's definitely enjoying the challenge and all of the commitment that it takes. But he loves sports, especially baseball and he's having all the fun in the world. Here are some pictures of his first game against the Red Sox. We are so excited!  :)

16 months old

Today, Luke is 16 months and 2 weeks old. I have been really busy lately, and as you can tell I'm behind on blogging. I wanted to take a minute to write about the little person that takes up most of my day :) Yes, his name is Luke and do I need to mention that he's into everything lately?! He is all toddler now and there's ton of curiosity, adventure, mischievousness and FUN in our world. Luke can communicate very well now, too. He can  point to everything that you ask him to point to, and he makes sure to tell you what he wants(even when he's not so happy about it, scary!)He's also a very good eater and is weighing at 26 1/2 pounds and measuring 33 inches tall. He's basically in the 90th percentile for both weight and height. He's no picky eater and enjoys everything I make for him. He's a very sweet, and loving little guy. I can't tell you enough, how blessed and delighted we are to have him. This new stage in his little life is wonderful!

Luke got his third haircut earlier this month. Finally a big boy haircut!

They Grow so Fast...

To prove it, I wanted to share a few pictures of what we've been up to the past few weeks. Luke has turned 15 months old and he is really growing fast. Will and Jack are not too far behind either. Jack will turn four years old in just 5 months from now. William just turned six and likes to act very grown up like... but he's still very reserved. Ha! They are full of personality and charm. Every one of them is unique, smart, funny and sarcastic... hmmm, I wonder where they got that one from?! ; ) Needless to say, I'm really enjoying watching how much the three enjoy playing together and getting along. They are truly best friends. There's never a dull moment around our house, but that's how I like it!


Here's my little climber, runner, and very smart little toddler. He can get his fingers, hands, entire body...you get my point, anywhere he finds it necessary. He can climb on anything, you name it.
You gotta love the look on his face on this picture. ha ha! We found him in the boys room dumping out the dinosaurs from their box and sneakily hiding himself in the box with Jack's leapster explorer. Oh, Luke!

    Hooray!...

Luke is 15 months old and weighs 25 1/2 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches long.  He's also staying healthy hasn't had any wheezing or allergy symptoms in the past couple of months (that's without taking any breathing treatments too) : )

A few weeks ago, my parents came to visit us after my procedure. The boys had so much fun with their Grandpa. They especially loved building train tracks with him.

He does sit still to read books though. He loves to read and loves to point at every picture on the book too.His favorite books are, Brown Bear Brown Bear, Little Train, Goodnight little Bear, Goodnight Moon, Backyardigans(his favorite TV show too), Boohbah Boo(I know, not our favorite either, but this was Will's favorite too, and the Bible.

These pictures are not very good, but I left my camera at home and all I was my phone.

We took the boys to the bowling center last Thursday evening. We had so much fun that I think we might be going again very soon.

William is getting really good at bowling.

Jack's first time bowling went great, he had a lot of help from daddy ;)

Best Memories of 2011

Here's our 2011 year in review: Needless to say, we've had a wonderful year! It was an eventful year and full of firsts and achievements! Luke reached all of his baby milestones, William played T-ball and got straight A's on his first report card, and Jack began K-3 and is doing great in school, too. It's really exciting to welcome another brand new year! I know that me and Adam look forward to another year with our sweet little boys! :)

January:

 Luke at 3 months old could lift his head up. The boys also loved the winter frost in Georgia.

February:

Luke began to roll on his tummy and he was really good at it!
I also celebrated my 26th birthday. 

March:

Will started T-ball practice. Super exciting for Will and Adam!

Luke also cut his first tooth, and we celebrated our 6th year Anniversary!

April:

We took the boys to the Georgia Aquarium. Luke really liked looking at the fish. Luke, also had his first Easter, and Jack potty trained. YAY! 

May:

Mother's Day at the fire station. Adam and the boys really made it fun for me. Luke started to sit up and had his first taste of mashed sweet potatoes. We took the boys strawberry picking, and William played his first t-ball game. It was Awesome!

June:

Jack turns three! My little boy isn't so little anymore :(
We also have our big family reunion, Father's day, and our trip to Charleston! Super Fun!

July:

We took the kids to Splash in the Boro. It was their first time ever visiting a water park. It was so much fun! We also celebrated the 4th of July at the fire station with Adam!

August:

First day of school! My little Jack started K-3.

William also had his first soccer game, and we took the boys to their first Warner Robins Little League game. They won the SEC game!

September:

Luke starts to cruise everywhere!

October:

Luke's turns one and loved his cupcake! :) Aunt Angie got married, the boys dressed up as Clone Troopers and Yoda for their first Halloween, and had a blast at the Georgia Fair!

November:

Adam turned 32 and we go to our first Georgia/New Mexico game together. Luke gets his first haircut and ends up looking the same! HA HA!(I just couldn't do the "big boy" haircut ) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family, and Luke enjoyed his first turkey meal! yummy :)

December:

My SWEET William turned SIX!!! Where did time go?!?!

Luke had the cutest baby dedication. We began a new family tradition, The Elf of the Shelf. We don't do anything mischievous with our elf, we just basically like the thrill of finding him each morning.

The boys had their Christmas program from school. Jack sang the entire time and William was part of the play, they were so Cute! We took the boys to Callaway Gardens, Fantasy in Lights. It  rained most of the time, but the trip was so much FUN!

 December 2011: New Year's Eve!

We spent the evening in Byron, with mom and dad. We had a wonderful time, laughing, talking, playing with the boys, and eating! As you can see, we had a busy year, but we LOVE it this way! We have so much fun as a family. We hope that all of our friends and family have a blessed 2012!
